Working from home on a business can look really daunting and you may be totally confused
as to what product you want to choose for your business.
There are thousands upon thousands of products out there but to start in niche marketing you
have to pick just one product. Why only one product? This is because a niche product is
directed at a specific part of the market. Let’s look at some marketing adverts, Kellogg’s for
example. When you see the advert on the television, newspaper or magazine, it is specifically
for one of their products only “coco pops “say for example. Kellogg’s sell many varieties of
cereal so why is the advert only for one of their brands. This is niche marketing they are
specifically targeting that product group which is children.
So how do you go about picking your niche product?
1) What are you passionate about, what do you have some knowledge about that you
could pass on to others. You will be amazed how many people are interested in “how
to” eBooks, DVD, cd’s. For example how to knit or how to play better football.
2) Perhaps you could make a product or find a product that is to do with your area of
work and you think people would benefit from some tips or tricks of the trade if you
could just put the knowledge out there. If you are a painter and decorator perhaps you
could do an eBook on “how to pay less on diy products”
3) If you really can’t think of something that you could do for your own product then
you need to research on the internet for a niche product that you feel you could get
interested in or be motivated by that other people have out there and are willing to
share with you ( affiliate)
The best advice anyone can give you when choosing your niche product is to go with your
gut instinct, if it feels right for you then you are going to put the effort into marketing the
product and be enthusiastic about the project and make it a success.
