It is vitally important for the business to look after their customers and to make sure that they are fully satisfied because this will help to make loyal customers that will stick with the business and the products they release. It is your responsibility to make sure you and the business are able to meet the needs of the customer because they want to be able to rely on the business and know if they have any problems they are able to contact the business and try to solve the problem.

Customer’s satisfaction also has an impact on the business reputation. If a business has a reputation for not being able to meet customers’ needs then they may find they suffer by not gaining new customers and loosing ones they have gained. This in turn means that their sales levels will drop and their business activities will suffer, this is why it’s important to make the customers feel satisfied and a valued part of your company.

If you choose to use automation for your business then you have to make sure that you treat your customer like a person and do not think of them as a number because this will have an impact on customer satisfaction. A customer wants to feel that the business cares for them and their views.
If a customer sends an e-mail with an enquiry they want to feel it has been answered by somebody involved with the business and not just an automated answer. How many of us ring a utility company and get an automated service. The worst culprits of this are now government telephone services. Have you ever tried phoning to enquire about a benefit, car tax or higher education payments (EMA)? I find this personally irritating that I can not actually speak to a person but an automation that doesn’t always answer my questions. If you feel your business can not cope with the amount of incoming emails or calls, then employ someone to deal with this DO not rely wholly on automation, your customers will know and be totally discouraged from using your service in the future.

If your business is available on social networking sites then you have to expect to answer customer’s queries because they will be looking to you for information about the business. The customers will also want to know about the latest products that are being released. Social networking sites are a good way to get closer to your customer base because it’s easily accessible and the customers feel they are able to have the questions they want to ask answered with a full and proper answer.

It is also important that businesses tries to measure their customer’s satisfaction because it will help to build a stronger fan base by taking suggestion from customers and trying to implement them into the business. There are some methods for measuring customer satisfaction these are:
-> Questionnaire
-> Surveys
-> Feedback sheets
-> Allowing comments on blogs and other social networking sites

Using these methods will help the business to connect with their customer fan base and become a stronger business because of this. Customers will recommend you by word of mouth or other communications to their friends if they feel valued and happy with your customer service.
